Great place for the family to go. Plenty of places to hike. Nice swimming area. Friendly people.
If you love nature, then I strongly recommend this place. It is child and pet friendly. There is camping, hiking, fishing, nature observing, and friendly staff available. I love this place!
Friendly staff, beautiful nature ,well-kept facilities. There's a swimming Lake with a beach, kayak rentals ,walking trails ,and cabins for rent that are basically an apartment with a fully furnished kitchen
Enjoyed learning how Crowley's Ridge got its name. Also the first county seat of Greene County.
Absolutely horrible!!!!! We went and every paying customer was out of the water... there was thunder I was told and the life guard girl would just stand there or excuse me sit there huddle up w her friends... totally ignoring every customer who walked in...and as soon as the 30 min would b up she would blow it again and say she heard thunder in another 30 min. Sky's where very clear... I did hear thunder but not as many times she claimed. So really they just sat there got paid ... three girls huddle up not paying any attention to any customer that walks in. Telling ya "what an easy way to get paid"... while the paying customers watched them relaxing .....One certain young girl had a hat on, with brown hair was EXTREMELY rude. And on that note it's self having rude staff is what pushed me away. I was told she has been there for 4 yrs.... if she doesn't like people... my opinion that job isn't the right fit for her.... The manager did come down refund our money-,, and everyone else that asked and apologized how her lifeguards were acting not in a professional way. I mean this little girl was yelling and getting smart w me in front of my two young kids . After the manager left. I did ask the lady behind the stand what was the girls name who is working?? Hell shes a life guard ... suppose to be there to save lives and the girl said I can't and won't give u her name. So telling you besides the water which I never did get in... bc it looked very nasty and not like lake swimming water.... I wouldn't waste your drive to this place .. they definitely need a NEW staff... again the manager was great she came down twice w a broken leg bc her staff couldn't get it together.,, and as I stated did refund for us to come back again ... not the 17$ we gave but a ticket saying hey next time u come back u can use this refund ticket!!!! I would of rather my cash back and NEVER go to that place again!!!!!!!
